Opportunities for Educators

Regional Economic Education Accelerators are aimed at expanding access to quality economic education for Ukrainian schoolchildren and empowering educators. It includes the development of immersive educational and methodological materials, training on modern teaching methods, support in integrating economics-related subjects, and community-building for knowledge and experience-sharing.
The project covers Poltava, Dnipropetrovsk, Vinnytsia, Ternopil, Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk, Kharkiv, Odesa, and Zaporizhzhia (+frontline) regions, and expands to new locations every year.

Teacher Training Program

is a training and mentoring program for teachers and lecturers of economics, entrepreneurship, financial literacy, and civic education who seek to teach effectively, engagingly, and applying innovative approaches. Developed by the Economic Fundamentals Initiative, the program provides both theoretical grounding and practical tools to improve student engagement and learning outcomes.

The Small Grants Program for Educational Projects

is aimed at providing support to projects that foster the development of economic thinking among Ukrainian youth, innovate the way economics-related subjects are taught, and enhance teachers’ capacity. Participants are offered small grants and peer recommendations to implement extracurricular clubs, create educational materials, organize trainings, and launch other educational products.

Stroup-Gwartney Award

is an annual award for educators deemed to have made significant contributions to developing the economic thinking of Ukrainian youth. If you are dedicated to your profession, committed to self-improvement, creativity, innovation, and can demonstrate measurable results, this opportunity is meant for you!
The award is supported by the Stavros Center for Economic Education at Florida State University.

Opportunities for Schoolchildren and Vocational College Students

Economics Olympiad in Ukraine

is an intellectual competition among middle, high school and vocational college students aimed at developing their economic thinking and improving economic literacy as a foundation for their successful future. It is part of the International Economics Olympiad with over 30 participating countries.
In Ukraine, the EO was first launched after the beginning of the full-scale invasion in 2022-2023 and has been held annually ever since. With each new edition, the number of participants increases significantly, demonstrating strong interest among students and educational institutions.

Participants compete for the right to represent Ukraine internationally, as well as for financial awards and prizes from our partners, including academic scholarships from the Kyiv School of Economics.
