Levan Varshalomidze joined BFMC

We are pleased to announce that Levan Varshalomidze has joined the BFMC team and will be in charge of cooperating with the executive authorities and international partners on existing and forthcoming projects.

"I was attracted by the Center's mission of accumulating available experience to create a free, open and transparent society, as well as its ambition to develop alternative scenarios and ways that will ensure Ukraine's rapid development," said Mr. Varshalomidze. "I believe that our cooperation will be prolific and lasting. I am ready to offer fresh approaches to existing projects and feel inspired to create new ones."

Mr. Varshalomidze joins the BFMC with an impressive track record of planning and implementing reforms and as the Managing Partner of LVP Project Management and Consulting. As the Head of the government of the Autonomous Republic of Achara, Georgia, in 2004-2012, he led the reconstruction and development of the region and became the author of "the Batumi miracle". Under his leadership, the capital of the Autonomous republic, Batumi, was transformed into a major tourist resort and an international financial hub.

"Mr. Varshalomidze's decision to join the BFMC strengthens our organization in fulfilling its mission," says Vladimir Fedorin, the Director. His work as the Head of the Ajarian government proves that the ideas of economic freedom are not some theoretical considerations, but a powerful tool for sustainable development. "
